Farewell Fitness Friend
Over the past 6 years or more, I've had the pleasure of having Nancy in many of my classes. Sometimes up to 6 hours per week.
Our fitness relationship began when she was encouraged by a friend (Linda) to attend a Zumba Gold class of mine. She led me to believe that she really didn't want to go ... but subsequently got hooked. She then merged into other classes and the occasional fitness Challenge just for fun. The challenges seem to have brought out an intense competitive nature she didn't know she had. It was then we watched this inspiring dedicated woman transform before our eyes.
I believe being fit allowed her the energy and drive to live the wonderful moments she had with family and friends, to travel and enjoy the things she loved the most. Nancy would often send me pictures of fun and noteworthy fitness or horse related landmarks (I have a horse) during her travels to different countries. She would tell me of different fitness classes she would try while visiting family in Ottawa, but was always glad to get back to her fitness routine.
The sudden loss of this fun-loving woman will leave a void in many hearts. We will miss her terribly in classes.
If Nancy had a message to send to us all - I'm sure it would be to keep fit, eat right, have fun and live your dreams. She might add to keep cheering for those Blue Jays ....!!!
Farewell, my friend - I will miss you.
