Condolence: I have so many memories of Barrie. From his Bits and Pieces articles, to his bird shop days. He sold my dad a bird called Roger. Well my dad had Rogers cage beside the telephone. Roger learned to say, "Margaret Corbett" any old time he wanted too. My Dad thought it was funny, and my Mom was irritated by it, barely tolerant of Roger. Barrie and Eunice were neighbours of my parents for many years. To say Eunice was loved by Barrie, was very true. Both Eunice and Barrie were wise beyond their years. I loved to go over to their home, to listen while they talked, and to see what they were doing. The oak half barrel, they filled with water and fish, the fake outhouse door was pretty darn funny that Barrie built. One of the highlights of my Mom's life, was a tribute to her Barrie wrote.Some people come into your life that mean so much.Barrie was definitely one of those people. The loss of his 2 son's only Eunice and Barrie could say, how their loss affected them.
For those left behind to mourne their loss, i will think of you, and hope you can find a measure of peace. Barrie was truly a great man.
