She took us all over South Western Ontario for many summers in the 1970s. We went camping, to Niagara Falls, drives etc. On one memorable trip my Cousin Doug had to take a pee. Heather dutifully stopped the packed station wagon and Doug left the car to pee. The door closed at some point and Heather assumed that Doug had gotten back in the car. Problem was that it was either I or my Brother Reese who had closed the door. Heather zoomed off down the highway leaving my Cousin Doug peeing and trying to run after the car! Poor Aunti Heather realized very quickly what had happened and obviously stopped to pick up my poor distraught Cousin.

Heather also had many adventures with Keith and one of the gifts that Keith brought to Heather was to build her a car so that she could enter the destruction derby at the Paris Fair. I was there for the first year and unfortunately the car suffered a mechanical failure and she was unable to participate. Being the good sport that she was she accepted this setback but was able to get in the ring the next year and cause some ruccus.

Heather was at our home for many Christmases before she started a wonderful life with Keith. She was also an amazing daughter and caregiver to my Grandma Ada Horner in the later years of her life. Heather visited her Mother at least 3-4 times a week and loved her Mother very much. She is greatly missed by her Nephews and Nieces that she brought so much to.

Her younger years were not always easy but once she and Keith saw their relationship flourish from a friendship to ultimately a marriage they brought so much to each other. Two generous and giving people made for an amazing couple and life together.

Heather.... You are greatly missed...
