I am so sad to hear that Kay died. The world has lost a wonderful, thoughtful, caring, compassionate, loving and fun lady! No doubt she will be missed by her family, fellow church members, neighbours and many friends. To know Kay was to love Kay! On behalf of Gord Spence, JoAnn Clark and myself, rest in peace dear lady; and thank you for being a part of our lives. Sincere sympathy to her family; no one can know your grief, but hopefully knowing others care is of some small comfort.

Kay has been a great friend to our family. After the passing of our mom(Jean Kurt) in 2010, Kay was always a faithful friend. So glad she met my 5 month old granddaughter on Friday at the bank. Our thoughts are with you now and as time passes..

Hi Kay and Family , I just wanted to share with you that Kay was such a kind hearted person , strong willed and happy . Very proud of her family and friends.. She loved her animals. I still can here her giving Buster heck by saying her famous bad word Oy ? I sure that is spelled differently as it is a scottish saying. That was the only time that I knew Kay was angry , when she used that word.

The kids all remember her by her famous baking . Peanut butter cookies !! I remember Kay at Christmas time because being her neighbor I could always tell when she was making mincemeat ! Ewe ! She knew I didn't like mincemeat. She was alwayshappy baking.

As for Kay and her animals , she loved them all . She helped me pick out my puppy " Ed" . The only animal thatI found that Kay was afra of was a "mouse " . I remember going over to ask Kay if she would help me get rid of a mouse that was in my laundry room. Well it was all I could do to fight her off as to who was going to sit on the washing machine. She was as afraid as i was. lol We screamed and laughed , but we did manage to get rid of him.

All and all we all will miss her dearly , thoughts and prayers go out to your family !!! God has another angel !

Kay , I and everyone will miss you dearly. You entered my heart when you & Al had moved into the house next door. I always new you would be there anytime to talk , share a drink , some laughs , animal stories ( as we all know Kay loves her animals ) except mice ! I always knew when it snowed out overnight because Kay would be out shovelling at 6am after she had walked Buster. I'm going to miss her smile, friendship and her laughter !! She was part of my family as well as many other McNab street families !! God has taken another beautiful angel from us !! Love & miss her terribly ! Marion

Sarah, Emily, Zadie and I were greatly saddened to hear of Kay's passing. She was the best friend and neighbour anyone could ever hope for. I always knew if it had snowed overnight if I heard her shovelling at 6am - it was time to get up! As others have said, we could always rely on her to help us with the kids if necessary and they loved to see her. Kay was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

We are so saddened to hear of Kay's sudden passing. She was a wonderful neighbour and dear friend to many of us on McNab St. Our children grew up with her special cookie deliveries,books and toys that she would bring by for them, and always knowing Kay was there when they missed the school bus. Kay and I lost our husbands around the same time, we shared a few tears. Enjoyed the social times we had together. She was a wonderful caring smiling person, loved her volunteering. Glad we were able to share a hug a couple of weeks ago. We will miss you Kay. Norma

Steve, Brenda, Kieran, Marcus, Dianne,Todd, Ewan, Neal. We are so very sad to lose Kay. What a caring loving soul. She was such a loving part of our extended families. Always cheery and so interesting to talk to. Thankfully I saw her recently and we had such a nice talk and hugs, kisses. Our hearts and prayers are with you. We loved her and I know you will miss her loving influence and guidance in your lives. The boys will miss their Beloved Gramma. Kieran and Marcus will cherish their trip to Scotland with Kay.
