Summer chats over the fence, little treats from our cooking going back and forth and of course the children and puppy demanding attention if they caught him on the deck enjoying the sunshine. When I unexpectedly had no one to give me away you offered to step in right away. Our son loved being at your house in Toronto and was always exploring. Your passion for Dale, cooking and politics always made for wonderful and engaging family get together's. You had a passion for life and learning that I loved. Condolence From: Len Friesen
Condolence: Joe (as he insisted on being called) was a delight to have in several of my classes at WLU during his retirement. He was always engaged, always positive, always came with a smile on his face. He actually inspired not only me to teach better, but he also inspired the (relatively young!) students around him to pay more attention. They didn't want to be outdone by a senior citizen! Lastly, Joe modeled the kind of person I hope to be should I be fortunate enough to enjoy my retirement years. I will miss him and was sorry to read of his passing. My sincere condolences to Dale, and to all who loved this fine human being.
