Passed away at the Wellington Terrace surrounded by her family on Saturday January 20th, 2018 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Pat Watson and late Edward Worton. Loving mother of John Worton (Lillian) of Guelph, Beatrice McIntosh (Jim) of Deep River, Doris Detta (Ron) of Fergus, David Worton (Sharon) of Alma, Donald Watson (Sharon) Ariss, Phyllis Wilson (late Bill) of Alma and the late Edward (Ted) Worton. Cherished grandmother/nanna of Heather(Adam) Blaedow and family, James (Diana) McIntosh and family, Julie Detta (Jeremy) and family, Kelly (Eric) Hall and family, Kendal (Andrew) Swackhammer and family, Christopher(Delaney) Worton and family, Dawn (Robert) Fletcher and family, Kaitlyn (Kevin) Kempel,Barbara (Geoff) Ash and family, Kim (Jay) Peters, Donald Watson Jr. (Alisha) and family, Laura Roberts (Hank) and family, Patrick McGaughey and family, Kathleen (Trevor) Hill and family, Colleen Elson (Sharon) and family. Beloved sister of John (Mary) Hume. She will be sadly missed by all her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Alan and Bill Hume and sister-in-law’s Marjorie and Betty Hume. Predeceased by great grandson Brennan Hill. Long time member of Bethany United Church and their UCW and the former Ponsonby Institute. She loved to garden, listen to music, quilt and bake (especially famous for her butter tarts). She was very proud of all her children, her fifteen grandchildren, forty-two great grand children and her two great-great grandchildren and cherished time spent with them all.

Visitation will be held at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South, Fergus on Thursday, January 25th, 2018 from 2:00pm -4:00pm and 7:00pm- 9:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home on Friday, January 26th, 2018 at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Helen’s memory to the Bethany United Church, Wellington Terrance or charity of your choice. www.grahamgiddyfh.com
